Forklift Water Pumps

Connected to the crankshaft of the engine; the water pump is a basic centrifugal pump that is driven by a belt. The pump then circulates fluid whenever the engine is running.

Making use of centrifugal force, the water pump sends water to the outside as it turns causing the fluid to be continually drawn from the center of the pump. The pump inlet is positioned near the center. This particular design allows fluid returning from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically positioned so as to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it goes in the engine.

The fluid primarily flows through the cylinder head and engine block prior to going out of the pump. Then the fluid goes into the radiator before finally returning to the pump.
