Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck which is basically a motorized type of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Rider" versions as well as "Walkie" models.
The walkie type as the name implies, is made to allow the operator to walk alongside the machine while they lift and transport cargo. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent moving of cargo over extended distances in warehouses and manufacturing operations. They are really fast and maneuverable.
It is not recommended to lift and move tall or unstable loads since there are no safety cages on these models. A rider could be the perfect answer if you are looking for an inexpensive method for moving loads from point A to point B. If though, you should move heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the right alternative.
Order Selector
The order selector or order picker is a piece equipment designed particularly for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the operator and the load in order to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Normally, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which can work in smaller aisles. They are really useful pieces of machine during cycle counting situations as well as in physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models that range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more popular.
